This hotel in the Arashiyama area was a great find. It offers excellent value for money with its reasonable prices and attention to detail. The location, right by the bridge, was perfect for exploring the stunning outdoor sites of Arashiyama, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. The rooms had beautiful views of the river and were equipped with all the basic amenities needed for a comfortable stay. I particularly loved the larger-than-usual bathtub, perfect for relaxing after a long day of sightseeing. The breakfast was also a highlight, providing a great start to the day before heading out.
No major issues, everything was just ok.

The hotel was a beautiful blend of traditional and modern design. The spacious room had a Japanese spa and an onsen available for guests to enjoy. The area was quiet and private, and had a great view of the river. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and provided us with complimentary skin care sachets.
The breakfast was mediocre, and the shower temperature was difficult to adjust, constantly switching between hot and cold. The absence of a private bathtub was a disappointment.

the room was spacious, clean, and cozy, providing a sense of relaxation. the service was friendly and welcoming. Although there were no catering facilities, breakfast was ordered from a provider and was delicious. We also enjoyed the public onsen, providing a unique experience at a reasonable price.
The area lacked nightlife and the restaurants close early, which limited our options for dining and entertainment in the evening.

The bathroom was incredible, and the hotel had a traditional Japanese feel. Staff were friendly and helpful, despite limited English. We had a fantastic time during our city break! We loved the spacious and well-appointed room, and the comfortable bed made for a great night's sleep. the location is superb; We appreciated the traditional Japanese touch, such as the request to leave shoes at the entrance and wear provided slippers.
We found the breakfast to be a bit of a letdown. We had expected it to be cooked onsite, but instead, it was ordered from an outside provider.
